THE Crag Dog Course
Welcome to our online dog training course for crag dogs! If you're a climber looking to train your dog to be a great companion from home to the crag, you're in the right place. This course is built exactly for the unique training needs of dogs joining us on climbing and cragging adventures.
Led by experienced trainers and climbers, our course focuses on communication , safety, and relationship building together. You'll learn practical skills such as essential commands (come, place, wait), leash skills, body awareness, and socialization specific to climbing crags. We'll also address challenges like acclimating dogs to the outdoors and navigating rugged terrain. We aim to ensure a safe and enjoyable climbing experience for you and your dogs.
Whether you're a seasoned climber or new to the sport, our course will equip you with the knowledge and techniques to train a reliable dog, from puppy to adult. Join us on this adventure as we train to create lasting memories while enjoying the outdoors with our well-trained crag dogs.

What you’ll learn…

We’ll teach a common language together for clear communication with marker words, cues and a focus on the right emotions. We want our pups to feel relaxed when we’re hanging out and excited to come when we need their attention.

For the approach to the crag, we’ll learn how to come quickly when called, waiting at the car or when we need to redirect on the trail, and body awareness and strengthening games.

Once we’re at the crag, we’ll focus on a calm, relaxed settle on a Place spot, how to handle barking or anxiety, building confidence, and how to have polite greetings to other dogs and and people.
